Growing Together. Learning Together. Thriving Together.

Our missionTo build food security, healing, and economic opportunity through land, community, and honest self-reflection, one person, one field, one season at a time.
Our visionWe see communities where food, land and belonging help people heal, learn, earn and build a future they can pass on.
Who we are

Food can do more than feed a family.

Sunny Boy Community Development Centre (SBCDC) is a Canadian nonprofit developing hands-on programs around food and growing. We believe food can do more than feed a family: growing it can build skills, restore confidence and bring people together.

SBCDC works across connected efforts that turn food into opportunity: creating access to fresh local produce, teaching growing and food skills, opening pathways into paid work in agriculture, and bringing fresh food directly to families and neighbourhoods.

The impact we work toward

  • Young people with real skills
  • Families with better access to fresh food
  • Seniors and community members connected through growing
  • A model other communities can copy
